Description

Made with a Wacom Graphire2 tablet + Painter (and some Photoshop). No overpainting - everything has been painted from scratch - but I used a photo of my friend Jenny as reference.

Time: 40+ hours(!)... partially because I'm new at this digital painting business, and partially because my computer (a Celeron 266@400 that I bought in 1998 ) really isn't made for processing huge files in Painter... I can't wait to get a new computer!

The picture is very dark, so if your monitor's contrast settings differ a lot from mine, it might look strange.

Nice. Great contrast and use of space. I really like the bouquet and how is counters the vampire's morbid expression (that's what I get out of it). Nicely done.

Stunning piece! Great colours and lighting. I love the contrast of the the vibrant dress tones to the rest of the piece. Certainly put the "un" back in "undead"!!!!

So beautiful! She reminds me of Claudia, because she looks quite young (how old is your friend anyway?) The purple-bleuish cast is wonderful, and the slight tilt of the bg gives it an unsettling feel.

In my eyes, this picture is absolutely perfect. One of my favorite pieces I've had the pleasure to look at. The color tones and lighting blend together very well. The face is great for a piece like this. Thanks for making such a striking piece of art.
